1. Parties and acceptance
These Terms govern access to the Aurevia platform, websites, applications, awards programmes, events, voting services and related communications operated by [INSERT LEGAL COMPANY NAME, REGISTRATION NUMBER AND ADDRESS] (“Operator”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, submitting or accepting a nomination, voting, buying an eligible service, attending an event or otherwise using the platform, you enter a binding agreement with the Operator and confirm that you have read these Terms and every policy incorporated by reference.
If you act for an organisation or nominee, you warrant that you have authority to bind them. Persons without legal capacity must use the platform through a lawful guardian. The platform is not intended for persons below the minimum lawful age in their country unless a specific youth category and verified guardian process applies.
2. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate, current information and control the mobile number used for your account. Your PIN and one-time codes are confidential. You are responsible for activity performed through your authenticated account, except where applicable law provides otherwise. Notify us promptly of suspected compromise. We may require reverification, restrict sessions, reset credentials or suspend an account to protect users, evidence, voting integrity or the platform.
3. Awards, nominations and verification
Each award, season and category has its own dates, eligibility rules, evidence requirements, judging criteria and voting configuration. A nomination is an application for consideration and does not guarantee approval, finalist status, publicity, an invitation or an award. You warrant that submitted statements and documents are truthful, lawfully obtained and capable of verification. We may request clarification, contact referees, validate public records, commission background checks where lawful, reject unsupported claims, merge duplicates, move an entry to a more suitable category or withdraw an entry where integrity concerns arise.
Eligibility and verification decisions are made under the published process. The Operator may appoint independent reviewers or judges. Conflicts must be disclosed. Except for a demonstrable data-processing or calculation error, properly reached decisions are final to the fullest extent permitted by law.
4. Voting and judging
Votes are governed by the current Voting Rules. We may use phone, account, network, device, location, velocity, payment and behavioural signals to identify duplication, automation, coercion or manipulation. Suspect votes may be held, excluded or investigated without displaying the underlying security rules. Public voting may be one component of the final score; the stated weighting for each category controls. A displayed live count, when enabled, is provisional and may change after reconciliation.
5. Fees, taxes and payments
Free participation remains free where shown. Paid votes, tickets, accreditation, sponsorship or other services will display the price, currency and material terms before confirmation. You authorise the selected payment provider to process the transaction and remain responsible for applicable taxes or network charges. A payment receipt confirms payment, not eligibility or an award outcome. Chargebacks, reversals and suspected payment fraud may lead to cancellation of the associated service and account review.
6. User content and publicity
You retain ownership of original material you submit. You grant the Operator a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence during the awards cycle and archive period to host, reproduce, resize, edit for length or format, translate, display, distribute and promote that material for administration, verification, voting, editorial reporting, ceremony production, historical archives and promotion of the awards. You warrant that the content does not infringe privacy, confidentiality, publicity, intellectual-property or other rights. Separate media consent applies to recordings and ceremony participation.
7. Conduct
You must not impersonate another person; submit unlawful or deceptive claims; purchase or automate votes outside authorised mechanisms; probe security controls; scrape protected data; upload malware; harass nominees, judges or staff; manipulate results; misuse badges; or imply an endorsement that has not been granted. We may preserve evidence and cooperate with lawful investigations.
8. Suspension, cancellation and programme changes
We may suspend or remove content, votes, nominations, credentials or accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce rules, comply with law, address security or protect the awards’ integrity. Dates, venues, formats, category names or judging panels may change for operational, safety, legal or force-majeure reasons. Where a paid service is materially affected, the Refund Policy applies. We may cancel a category with insufficient eligible entries and may withhold an award where published standards are not met.
9. Third-party services
SMS networks, payment processors, social platforms, hosting providers and external links are operated by third parties. Their terms may apply. We are not responsible for third-party outages or content, while remaining accountable for obligations that law places directly on us.
10. Disclaimers and limitation
The platform is provided with reasonable skill and care. Awards are recognition decisions based on available evidence and published processes, not professional, investment, employment or commercial advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator excludes implied warranties that cannot reasonably apply and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of reputation, opportunity, revenue or data arising from platform use. Where liability cannot be excluded, aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the specific affected service in the preceding six months or [INSERT REASONABLE CAP]. Nothing excludes liability that applicable law prohibits us from excluding.
11. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify the Operator, programme owners, directors, staff and appointed judges against third-party claims and reasonable costs caused by your unlawful content, material misrepresentation, rights infringement, fraud or deliberate breach of these Terms. This does not apply to loss caused by the protected party’s own unlawful conduct.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [INSERT JURISDICTION]. Parties should first submit a written complaint and allow 30 days for good-faith resolution. Subject to mandatory consumer rights, unresolved disputes will be handled by [INSERT COURTS OR ARBITRATION FORUM, SEAT AND RULES]. If any provision is unenforceable, it will be narrowed only as necessary and the remainder will continue.
13. Changes and contact
Material changes will be versioned and notified through the platform or registered contact channel. New acceptance may be required. Contact [INSERT LEGAL/COMPLIANCE EMAIL AND POSTAL ADDRESS] for formal notices.
